About Us

Who We Are

TEIN-KUC is the recognized youth wing of the National Democratic Congress at Kings University College, Aplaku. We exist to mobilize, educate and empower students of KUC through political education, leadership training, civic engagement and community service — in line with the social democratic ideals of the NDC. We believe student politics should be principled, well-organized and purposeful. Our chapter is built on constitutional order, transparent governance and genuine service to our members and the wider student body.

History of TEIN-KUC

The Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) began at KNUST in 1992 as an informal network of NDC-sympathetic students, and was formally adopted in 1994 as the umbrella body for NDC students across Ghana's tertiary institutions under the then National Youth Organiser, Hon. E.T. Mensah. Over three decades, TEIN has grown into the recognized student wing of the National Democratic Congress, active in nearly every public and private tertiary institution in the country.

TEIN-KUC is the Kings University College chapter of this national network. Located at Aplaku, Accra, our chapter carries forward the same mission on our campus: to mobilize, educate and prepare students for principled leadership, while giving KUC students a strong, organized voice in both campus and national affairs.

Our Mission

His leadership extends beyond campus: he is President of the University Student Chamber Ghana and Chairman of the University Student Chamber's West African Committee, representing Ghanaian students in national and international forums and coordinating the annual West African Student Leadership Summit. He also serves as Company Secretary & Administrator for several organisations, and as President of the Adom Community League, a community development and advocacy group in the Greater Accra Region.

President's Welcome Message

Welcome to the official platform of TEIN-KUC.

Our chapter stands on the proud tradition of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network, a movement born to give tertiary students a disciplined, intellectual home within the National Democratic Congress. At TEIN-KUC, we hold firmly to the belief that leadership begins with service, and that a well-organized student body is the foundation of a strong institution.

Since the inauguration of this administration, we have worked to strengthen our internal governance, build stronger ties with the SRC, the university administration and the wider TEIN family, and put in place structures, including constitutional reforms that will outlast any single executive team. We remain committed to student welfare, from access to educational financing to representation on issues that matter to KUC students.

I invite every student of Kings University College, regardless of background, to engage with us, learn with us and grow with us. Together, forward ever, backward never.

ADDO BENJAMIN ARMAH (President)
